  5. Practice & Information

I’m drawn to the point where close listening, technical problem-solving, and collaboration meet. I like learning the shape of a project: what the material needs, how the people involved prefer to work, and where a clear system can make the process calmer. That might mean refining a difficult edit, organizing a complicated session, or building a workflow that keeps feedback and delivery moving. I care about small decisions because they accumulate into trust, clarity, and work that feels considered. My own music keeps me curious and open; production has taught me how to turn that curiosity into something dependable, shared, and finished.

I grew up in Cairo, where I began learning music while surrounded by the city's mix of cultures and sounds. After moving to Canada, I studied at the Harris Institute and developed my practice across recording, dialogue editing, mixing, sound design, and original music.

I'm an audio editor, post-production producer, and composer based in Toronto. From 2021 to 2026, I co-founded and operated Half Moon Audio, an independent recording studio. Across several hundred projects, I worked with artists, producers, organizations, and people with different levels of recording experience. I helped carry music, podcasts, spoken-word productions, and live applications from setup through final delivery.

My creative work includes electronic music released as Spookyfish and collaborations including BisonBison. Moving between personal and client work keeps my approach curious, practical, and open to other people's ideas.
